• Third suspect arrested related to September Vine Street shooting in Harrisonburg (rocktownnow.com) — A 19-year-old Broadway resident has been arrested in connection with a September 1 shooting inside a Harrisonburg apartment on Vine Street, where he was found with multiple gunshot wounds. Police say home security video shows him entering with a handgun before the resident fired. He now faces several felony charges, including breaking and entering with intent to commit murder.
   

• Spotswood volleyball sweeps William Monroe (dnronline.com) — Spotswood's volleyball team, now 13-3, will host Broadway in a Valley District matchup Thursday after sweeping William Monroe on the road. Several Trailblazers turned in strong performances, but the next test comes against Broadway, giving local fans a nearby chance to see the teams face off.
