UPDATE: Police Identify 2 Killed in Wreck on Burke Commons Road
Driver and passenger pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. A third person in the car was not injured, according to Fairfax Police.
BURKE, VA — Fairfax County Police have identified the people who died in a car crash last night in Burke.
Next of kin has been notified and the driver killed in the fatal crash has been identified as Cristian G Dominguez, 25, of Burke. The front-seat passenger who was killed has been identified as Cristian A Merino, 28, also of Burke. Crash Reconstruction detectives continue their investigation.
Police said earlier that the two died in a single-car crash on Burke Commons Road overnight.

A third person in the car, also 25, did not require medical attention.
Officers responded at 12:23 a.m. to the area of Burke Commons Road near Roberts Common Lane.

According to detectives, the silver Saturn sedan the men were traveling in was heading north on Burke Commons Road when the driver lost control, slid off the shoulder, and struck a tree on the passenger side.
According to police, preliminary information suggests that speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.
