2019 Job Fairs Coming Up For Burke Area Teens

Teens can find internship and summer job opportunities at five upcoming job fairs.

BURKE, VA—Whether your kids are looking for a summer job, employment after graduation or volunteer work, opportunities are available at five upcoming job fairs. The 2019 Fairfax County Teen Job Fairs and Resume Building Workshops offer opportunities for job seekers around ages 16 to 18.

Student job seekers can find full-time employment, after-school jobs, seasonal positions, internships and volunteer work at the event. It is open to all teens in Fairfax County looking for employment or wanting tips for their resume. Younger students can get involved with volunteer opportunities and resume building workshops.

Saturday, March 9, 1 p.m.-3 p.m.
Woodson High School

West Springfield High School

Mount Vernon High School
Co-sponsors: Supervisor Dan Storck, Mount Vernon-Lee Chamber of Commerce and Mount Vernon High School

Businesses and local organizations are welcome to participate. There is no cost for businesses to get involved, but they must fill out an application form.

More than 2,000 Fairfax County teenagers and 120 employers have attended the previous job fairs. The job fairs are sponsored by Supervisor Pat Herrity, Connection Newspapers, Fairfax County Government, and Fairfax County Public Schools. Students can register for the job fairs here.
