• Fairfax County Police Officer Charged With Shoplifting At 2 Target Stores (patch.com) — Burke residents are learning that a Fairfax County police officer faces misdemeanor shoplifting charges after an alleged barcode-switching incident at the Target on New Guinea Road while he was on duty and in uniform. The same officer is also accused of a similar off-duty incident later that day at a Springfield Target, and has been placed on administrative leave while criminal and internal investigations continue.
