Arrest Made For 1999 Abduction, Assault In Burke
The cold case involved a woman lured into a vacant office and assaulted at Burke Town Plaza.

BURKE, VA—Fairfax County Police have made an arrest in a previously unsolved 1999 kidnapping and assault in Burke.
Allen Lewis Buracker, 67, of Fairfax County, was arrested Thursday morning at his workplace in Hyattsville, Maryland. Buracker was charged with being a fugitive from justice and is being held in Hyattsville. He will be charged with abduction with the intent to defile after his extradition to Fairfax County.
The incident happened at Burke Town Plaza on Aug. 18, 1999. A 25-year-old woman was looking for a business when Buracker approached. He is accused of offering take her to the relocated business, which in reality was a vacant office. There, he allegedly pulled out a knife and assaulted her.

The woman was able to escape during the assault and called police. She was taken to the hospital and treated for cuts and bruises.
Buracker was at the property doing maintenance when he allegedly committed the kidnapping and assault. Police believe Buracker has lived and worked in Prince William County, Stafford County, Spotsylvania County, Fredericksburg, Harrisonburg and Prince George’s County, Maryland since the 1990s.
