Burke Area RECenter Pool To Close For Maintenance

If rain is in the forecast and you want to get in a swim, be aware of upcoming closings at RECenters. Four RECenter pools will be closed for cleaning and maintenance in August, including at the South Run RECenter near Burke.

The pool will close Monday, Aug. 13 and reopen Sunday, Sept. 9. Residents are encouraged to use the closest pool until it reopens. For Burke area residents, that is the Audrey Moore RECenter, 8100 Braddock Rd, Annandale.

RECenter passes are valid at all nine Fairfax County Park Authority RECenters. South Run RECenter will remain open during pool maintenance. South Run will also undergo elevator maintenance from Aug. 13 to Oct. 12.

The maintenance work dates are subject to change. Check with the local RECenter before going to the facility.
