Burke House Fire Goes To 2 Alarms, Prompts Fundraiser For Family
A GoFundMe account was started to a Burke family who lost their home in Wednesday's fire.

BURKE, VA — Fairfax County Fire and Rescue responded to a two-alarm house fire in Burke Wednesday morning. A GoFundMe account has been started to support the impacted family.
The fire happened in the 5400 block of Crossrail Drive. Units encountered fire upon arrival and requested the second alarm. Firefighters got the blaze under control and were tackling hot spots. There was some extension of the fire to at least one neighboring townhouse, according to the fire department.
No injuries were initially reported. The cause of the fire was not immediately available.

A GoFundMe account was started to support a family of four who lost their home in the fire. Members of the community have offered clothing and toy donations, but the GoFundMe will raise funds for a hotel stay, gas, food and other items.
"Fortunately, everyone is safe, but they lost everything in the fire. They are a family of four, and have two small children (ages 5 and 3)," the GoFundMe account stated.
