ICYMI: Burke Makes 100 Best Places to Live List

BURKE, VA -- Burke ranks 88th on Livability.com's list of the Top 100 Best Places to Live.

In an explanation of the ranking, the study noted that Burke has a convenient mass transit system and most of its children attend Fairfax County Public Schools.

The proximity to Burke Lake Park's spacious lake and jogging trail also earned it points in the livability ranking.

The study ranked 2,000 cities with populations between 20,000 and 350,000 using 40 data points. Other Northern Virginia cities making the list include:

• No. 19 Arlington
• No. 32 Alexandria
• No. 27 Fairfax
• No. 58 Reston, Virginia
• No. 80 Ashburn, Virginia
