Cause Under Investigation For Burke Fire

No one was injured when a fire broke out on the exterior of a home on Thursday.

BURKE, VA — No one was injured in a Thursday fire at a Burke home, according to Fairfax County Fire and Rescue.

The fire happened around 2:17 p.m. Thursday in the 6300 block of Rockwell Road. A resident had observed smoke through a window and found the fire on the exterior of the home. The resident attempted to put out the fire with a garden house. Damages were estimated to be $28,000.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
