Crime Spree Nets Conviction for Burke Man: U.S. Attorney's Office

Larry Pyos, Jr., was convicted for multiple armed robberies of businesses in Northern Virginia since late 2015.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A Burke man was convicted late last month by a federal jury on charges related to multiple armed robberies in Fairfax County and Falls Church, according to Dana J. Boente, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Larry Pyos, Jr. has been in custody since May 11.

He had been charged in an August indictment with conspiracy, armed robbery, using firearms in committing robberies and being a felon in possession of firearms.

According to court records and evidence, his was quite the crime spree.

It began Christmas Eve 2015 when he robbed the Good Fortune supermarket in Falls Church, where he fired a gun at an employee while fleeing.

He later robbed the Shri Krishna grocery story, the Dollar Power store and Ding Carryout, all in Springfield.

He next robbed the Hong Kong Palace restaurant in Falls Church in late April, and fired a gun at an employee who gave chase.

His final robbery was at a Subway restaurant in McLean May 9 and he was arrested two days later.

Pyos will be sentenced Jan. 13.
