Delegate Eileen Filler-Corn Presents Commending Resolutions to Cherry Run Elementary School and their PTA

On Wednesday, June 7, Delegate Eileen Filler-Corn (D-Springfield) presented copies of House Joint Resolution 1047 to Cherry Run Elementary School’s Principal Mark Bibbee as well as Cherry Run PTA’s President Joanna Sampson and Immediate Past President Elizabeth Cassaday. This resolution honors Cherry Run for its selection as a 2016 - 2018 National PTA School of Excellence designation for its leadership and accomplishments in building strong, effective family-school partnerships. “I was pleased to have the opportunity to present this resolution to Principal Bibbee as well as Ms. Sampson and Ms. Cassaday,” said Delegate Filler-Corn. “I am grateful for all the work they have done to build a strong relationship between the school and its surrounding community,” she added. The Burke-based elementary school was one of only fourteen schools in Virginia to receive this honor.
