Sugarloaf Crafts Festival

The Sugarloaf Craft Festival returns to the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, VA on Friday, December 9 through Sunday, December 11, 2011 with three days of family fun and more than 300 of the nation’s most talented artisans.

The Sugarloaf Crafts Festival invites accomplished, nationally-known craftspeople to the Dulles Expo Center to personally show and sell their work, including functional and decorative pottery, sculpture, glass, jewelry, fashion, wood, metal, furniture, home accessories, photography, and fine art. All the artists at the Sugarloaf Crafts Festival have been jury-selected to offer their one-of-a-kind creations.

The lively atmosphere of the Sugarloaf Crafts Festival in Chantilly features nonstop family entertainment and activities. The show’s special theme, “New This Season,” will highlight the latest styles and techniques in American craft. Master craftspeople will provide continuous live demonstrations of iron forging (weather permitting), papermaking, copper spinning, stone sculpture, and other media. Gourmet foods and seasonal favorites—including candies and chocolates, hearty soups, artisan breads, jams and dips, syrups, and olive oils—will be available to sample and purchase from dozens of specialty food purveyors. Family entertainment will include interactive puppet theater and live music by contemporary performers.

Hours for the Sugarloaf Crafts Festival in Chantilly are Friday, December 9 and Saturday, December 10, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, December 11, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Admission (good for all three days) is $7 when purchased online and $9 at the door. Children under 12 are admitted free. Free parking is available on site.
