Fairfax Man Identified In Fatal Springfield Crash

Fairfax County Police say a Fairfax man died in Thursday's fatal two-vehicle crash in Springfield.

Officers responded to the crash at Fairfax County Parkway and Whitlers Creek Drive after noon. Investigations revealed a Toyota Camry and a box truck collided. The car's driver was heading north and lost control of the car for an unknown reason.

The car slid sideways across the median and crashed into the box truck in the southbound lanes. The Toyota driver, Francis Kyung-Min Park, 19, was pronounced dead on scene. No one else was injured.

Detectives are still working to determine if speed or alcohol were factors in the crash. Anyone with information about this crash should call the Crash Reconstruction Unit at 703-280-0543.
