Fall for the Book announces bestselling headliners for 28th annual festival

Fall for the Book’s 28th annual book festival announced its headliners and is set to take place at George Mason’s Fairfax campus from October 6-10. ​

Fall for the Book is an independent nonprofit that is part of the Center for Literary Engagement and Publishing Practice at George Mason University.​

The festival, which is free of cost, can be attended in person or virtually, with select headline events requiring free reserved tickets via Eventbrite.​

This year’s headliners are Stephen Graham Jones and Celeste Ng, who are both on the New York Times Best Sellers list.​

Graham Jones is an American, award-winning novelist best known for writing The Only Good Indians and The Buffalo Hunter Hunter. His newest book, Off the Reservation, is set to release days after the festival on October 13. ​

Graham Jones writes experimental fiction, horror fiction, crime fiction, and science fiction. Graham Jones also wrote The Elvis Room, which was adapted into a short film of the same title in 2016.​

Ng is an American award-winning writer and novelist, with short stories published in a series of literary journals. Little Fires Everywhere and Everything I Never Told You with her most recent novel being Our Missing Hearts.​

Ng’s first novel, Everything I Never Told You, won the Amazon Book of the Year award in 2014 and received high critical acclaim. Most of Ng’s novels are available for translation in more than thirty languages on Ng’s website. ​
