FCPD Locates Burke Resident, 56, Deceased; No Foul Play Suspected, Police Say
Family reported him missing. VRE train was briefly stopped Wednesday night while police, K9 and helicopter searched area for man.

VRE trains were briefly stopped Wednesday night while police located a Burke man, who was found deceased near the tracks, according to Fairfax County Police.
The 56-year-old man died Wednesday night near the VRE lines in between Mason Bluff Court and Crownleigh Court, according to police. VRE trains were briefly stopped during the time of the search to allow officers to search the area safely, police noted.
Fairfax County Police were initially contacted Wednesday at about 5:30 p.m., by a concerned family member, who said they were worried the man might harm himself, a police spokeswoman said.

Based on that information, officers, including K-9, patrol and the FCPD helicopter, Fairfax One, located the man, according to police.
Detectives said they do not believe the death was āsuspiciousā nor that there is a public safety threat.
