Fire Breaks Out In West Springfield Basement

WEST SPRINGFIELD, VA—Firefighters responded to a fire in a West Springfield home Thursday afternoon.

The fire was reported in the 8600 block of Reseca Lane, according to a 2:15 p.m. tweet from Fairfax County Fire and Rescue. The fire was located in the basement and has been put out. There was no extension of the fire. All residents were accounted for outside the home.

There was no immediate word on the cause of the fire.
