No Injuries Reported From Townhouse Fire In Burke

All residents were reported to be safe after the fire broke out Wednesday morning.

BURKE, VA — Residents are safe after firefighters tackled a townhouse fire in Burke Wednesday.

The fire happened around 10:26 a.m. in the 5900 block of Waters Edge Landing Lane. Units found smoke showing from the front and put out a fire in the basement.

Two residents were home and were alerted to the fire by the smoke alarm. There were no reports of injuries.

Fire investigators say a malfunction in the dryer caused the fire. Damages were estimated to be $10,000.
