Former Robinson Student's Case Against Fairfax Schools Dismissed

The student, accused of sexual harassment, had filed a gender discrimination lawsuit against Fairfax County Public Schools.

FAIRFAX, VA — A lawsuit filed by a former Robinson Secondary School student accused of sexual harassment against Fairfax County Public Schools has been dismissed in federal court.

According to the Washington Post, a female student had reported sexual harassment by the male student and another male student to school officials. In the lawsuit against FCPS, the male student claimed gender discrimination and violation of due process rights for its investigation into the sexual harassment incident.

The federal judge contended the male student had proper due process and did not have proper evidence that FCPS was discriminatory toward him. The student had been suspended ahead of the hearing into the sexual harassment allegations, and he was ultimately sent to Mountain View Alternative High School in Centreville.
