Free Fall For Fairfax KidsFest Is Coming Up

The fall festival promises rides, scarecrow making, a petting zoo and much more.

FAIRFAX, VA—Families looking for free entertainment need look no further than the Fall for Fairfax KidsFest. It will be held Saturday, Sept. 29 from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 30 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.on the grounds of the Fairfax County Government Center, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax.

Geared toward Pre-K and elementary school children, the festival features interactive and educational programs, entertainment and activities. Some of these activities include: the KidWay MidWay, scarecrow making, pumpkin painting, public safety and recycling-themed exhibits, pony rides, petting zoo, model trains, instrument petting zoo, over 75 exhibits and food. There are two stages of live entertainment: Innovation Health Kids Stage, and the Cox Community Stage.

Donations of pants and long-sleeved shirts for scarecrows are needed. Donations can be brought to the scarecrow program area or information tent. Receipts will be provided for tax purposes.
