Freshmen moving into the residence halls on Wednesday, Aug. 18, marks the start of the 2021-22 academic year at George Mason University. Mason President Gregory Washington spoke with students and their families. First-year students and their families enjoyed lunch on the Fairfax Campus at Ike's. Rose Pascarell, vice president for University Life, answered questions from families. More than 5,000 students are expected to live in the residence halls this academic year.
