Greenspring Chefs Prepare Christmas Dinners for First Responders

Thank You, Franconia District Fire Department and Fairfax County Police Department, for Everything You Do

SPRINGFIELD, VA -- Greenspring's Dining Service chefs, in collaboration with the community's Security team, prepared and provided Christmas dinner for the Franconia District Fire Department. They also prepared and provided Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas Day breakfast for the Fairfax County Police Department.

"This is something we have done at Greenspring for many years," said Executive Chef Michael Ritt. "It is a way we can reach out to those who do so much and give back."

Special thanks go to the following Greensping employees: Chef Zainab and her team in the Jefferson Kitchen for their hard work and effort in making this happen; Ronald Rodrigues, Assistant Manager Security and EMS, for assisting with the delivery to the firefighters; Royce Schmalz, the liaison with the Fairfax Police Department, for his assistance in the delivery of the meals for the police; and Gajindra Surujpaul for assisting with gathering some of the material needed for these meals.
