Greenspring Welcomes Brad Andrus as Associate Executive Director

Industry veteran returns to Springfield, Virginia senior community

SPRINGFIELD, Va. – August 22, 2018 – Greenspring, an Erickson Living retirement community, today announced that it has welcomed Brad Andrus back to the Springfield campus as its newest Associate Executive Director.

Andrus began his career at Greenspring as Fitness Manager before being promoted to Director of Sales at Charlestown, Erickson Living’s flagship community outside of Baltimore, Maryland, where he later served as the Director of Philanthropy until 2011.

From there, Andrus went on to share his leadership as the Director of Resident Life and Marketing at Broadmead Retirement, a not-for-profit retirement community in Cockeysville, MD and then, as Associate Executive Director of Asbury Methodist Village in Montgomery County, MD. Most recently, Andrus served as Executive Director at Asbury Solomons in southern Maryland.

“We are thrilled to have Brad join the Greenspring family,” said Chandra Kumar, Executive Director at Greenspring. “He has jumped right in and is providing support and visibility throughout the community to enhance the experience of all of our residents and staff.”

Andrus brings 20 years of industry experience to his new role. He holds two Masters degrees, one from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in Management of Aging Services, and the other from Notre Dame of Maryland University in Business Management. He holds a certification as an Assisted Living Manager and, in 2017, was named a Leading Age National Leadership Academy Fellow.
