It's Fall Festival Season!

The leaves are changing, the air is crisp, and it's time for much-anticipated Orange Hunt Elementary School Fall Festival! Mark your calendars for a night filled with fun, food, and festivities on Friday, October 13th from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. At the festival, attendees will delight in unlimited games, relish delicious offerings from hot dog & BBQ food trucks, savor the sweetness of cotton candy & popcorn, get creative with crafts, enjoy treats, and dance the night away with music and a silent auction. Admission is $15/person at the entrance (max $60/family).

Rocknoceros will perform at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Burke, VA at 4pm on October 15th, 2023. Rocknoceros has entertained tens of thousands of fans around the country, performing at Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, and the Kennedy Center. Since its inception in 2005, Rocknoceros has won ten Washington Area Music Awards and has found its way into the hearts and homes of music-lovers of all ages.

The Washington Capitals launched a Try Hockey for Free Program that offers ball hockey clinics to kids ages 5-17 in order to provide FREE access to the game for kids and families across the Washington D.C. area who have never participated in the sport before. Each participant will learn the basics of hockey (stickhandling, passing, and shooting) and will receive a hockey stick and ball to take home following the event to encourage continued development. Clinics will be held at various Washington Capitals outdoor ball hockey rinks in D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. This program is designed to be an introduction to the game for the participants and the first opportunity to reach the families in our community who are looking for more affordable options to play.
