Kids Sexually Abused By West Springfield Daycare Worker: Police
A daycare worker from Burke is facing charges after sexual assaults against two children were reported.

WEST SPRINGFIELD, VA—Fairfax County Police arrested a West Springfield daycare worker Thursday for alleged sexual assaults against children.
Rolly Hammond, 38, of Burke, was charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery, one count of forcible sodomy and one count of indecent liberties by a custodian. Police say Hammond was a daycare worker with the School Age Child Care program based at West Springfield Elementary School.
Police and Child Protective Services were contacted Thursday after a child reportedly being inappropriately touched by Hammond. Further investigation revealed another victim who Hammond allegedly abused for several years.

Hammond began working with the SACC programs in 2008. He was at West Springfield Elementary School from 2008 to March 2019 and Ravensworth Elementary School from 2007 to 2008. Hammond also participated in spring break programs at West Springfield Elementary in 2011 and 2015 Rolling Valley Elementary in 2012. He participated winter break programs at West Springfield Elementary in 2015-2016 and Rolling Valley Elementary in 2016-2017, 2017-2018 and 2018-2019.
