Masked Man Robs Burke Safeway Monday Night: Police

Fairfax County Police are investigating the robbery Monday night of the Safeway store on Old Keene Mill Road in Burke.

Police say the robbery took place at the store, 9596 Old Keene Mill Road, Monday at around 7:55 p.m.

That’s when a man entered the Safeway store, approached an employee at a check-out counter and demanded money, according to police. The suspect took cash and fled. The victim did not require medical attention.

The suspect was described as white, about 6 feet 2 inches tall, 150 pounds and wearing a mask covering his face, according to police. Police did not give an age range for the suspect or say what sort of mask he was wearing.
