Motorcyclist From Springfield Dies In Crash On Burke Centre Parkway
A 31-year-old Springfield man died following a crash Sunday evening on Burke Centre Parkway east of Ox Road in Burke, police said.

BURKE, VA — A 31-year-old Springfield man died following a crash Sunday evening on Burke Centre Parkway east of Ox Road in Burke, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.
Detectives from the department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit preliminarily determined a 2020 Honda motorcycle was traveling west on Burke Centre Parkway. The driver of a 2016 Mercedes C4 was traveling east on Burke Centre Parkway and was attempting to make a left turn mid-block into a shopping center.
The motorcycle struck the front passenger side of the Mercedes around 6:40 p.m. on Sunday.

The motorcyclist, Nema Mirsaeedi, was thrown from the motorcycle. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Mercedes remained at the scene of the crash. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, according to the FCPD.

Details of the investigation will be presented to the Fairfax County Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney for review.
