National Adopt A Shelter Pet Day: Help Fairfax Animals Find Homes
To mark National Adopt A Shelter Pet Day, here are some Fairfax County animals looking for forever homes.

Each year, around 6.5 million pets end up in animal shelters in the U.S. as they wait for new homes. The wait, however, is often deadly for the critters. Around 1.5 million shelter animals are euthanized annually, according to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty of Animals. But it doesn't have to be that way.
Monday, April 30 is National Adopt A Shelter Pet Day, which means that there's no better time to remember the heaps of animals in our region looking for forever homes. The Fairfax County Animal Shelter has many animals available for adoption. Could you offer a loving home?
