FAIRFAX, VA—Police are trying to locate the owner of a neglected dog left in front of the Fairfax County Animal Shelter Wednesday.
Animal protection officers encountered the dog tied to a picnic table outside the shelter at 4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax. Staff examining the dog found him to be underweight and suffering from severe eye and nose discharge, skin issues and a "foul odor," according to a police report.
The dog is described as a male tan and gray brindle Cane Corso breed around three to four years old. He did not appear to have tags but is expected to survive.
