Man Struck By Train Dies In Burke: Police
Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a train and pedestrian early Wednesday in Burke.

BURKE, VA — A person was struck and killed on the train tracks in Burke early Wednesday, according to Fairfax County Police.
The pedestrian was struck on the train tracks in the 9000 block of Burke Road around 12:42 a.m. east on the train tracks. A train on the eastbound tracks struck the pedestrian, who was walking east on the tracks.
The man, Kenneth Little, 51, of Maryland, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Detectives do not believe speed or alcohol factored into the crash for the train engineer. Police have not determined if alcohol was a factor for the pedestrian.
Trains were stopped overnight as detectives investigated. There are no apparent impacts to Virginia Railway Express Service at this time.
