Remnants of the June 22 storm in Burke

Over three weeks have passed since 90 mph winds slushed through parts of Burke. While the traffic of clean-up vehicles are mostly done driving through, trees, home damage and fear still reside throughout Kings Park West neighborhoods.

A vinyl-cut banner that used to hang on metal poles on the side of the road, in-sight of drivers, now lays ten feet into the nearby woods.

Fallen trees left propped up on now bare trees behind the still standing “Chatham Towne” neighborhood sign off of Guinea road.

Where trees used to provide shade and privacy, now stand bare trees and uprooted stumps.

The Pierropont street and Tillary court sign off of its pole and under a fallen tree, which uprooted concreate and dirt.

Off of Guinea and Pierropont road lays a tree, obstructing the sidewalk path as well as uprooting part of the curb, stepping stones and dirt.
