Robinson Crew Seeks Sponsors for "Round Robinson" 5K

Team hopes to register more than 500 runners for November event

Robinson Crew Booster Club is soliciting sponsors for its Round Robinson 5K held November 9 at Robinson Secondary School.

Last year’s race hosted more than 400 runners and the club is hoping to increase those numbers to 500 runners this year.  Sponsorships are available at all levels.  All sponsors donating $100 or more will be placed on the race t-shirt.  Sponsors also enjoy season-long benefits, such as having their logos in the crew directory and on the crew web site.

Information can be found at www.robinsoncrew.org/boosters/round-robinson-5k.  Sponsorships are available until Oct 20.

Runners should register by Oct 24 to guarantee receipt of the race t-shirt.  They can find the registration link at the same web site.

The purpose of the Robinson Booster Club is to financially and logistically support Robinson Crew, a competitive, self-funded high school rowing team.  RCBC works to promote self-confidence, academic excellence, healthy living and physical stamina in rowers.

The crew team does not receive any school or county funding.  It costs about $1,900 per rower a season to cover equipment, coach’s salaries, and other expenses associated with a successful rowing experience.  Each year, Robinson Crew consistently sends rowers to state and national competitions and many alumni continue to row at the collegiate level up
