Robinson Homecoming Kings Couldn't Be Chosen Together: Claim
Some students have criticized the school district for not allowing two homecoming kings to be chosen together.

FAIRFAX, VA—Robinson Secondary School is facing backlash from students for reportedly denying two male students from being selected as homecoming kings together.
Jake Mitchell, one of the students who ran, sent out a tweet claiming the administration would not award he and his best friend Chris Parr the titles of homecoming kings.
So, today I am sad and disappointed in our school James W. Robinson Secondary School administration, for denying me and my best friend Christian the title of Homecoming Kings. Time to show them we did not come to play! #HomecomingKings #Timetofightback #Thekingsdeservetheircrowns pic.twitter.com/vRvAk7kFSZ

In a tweet, Mitchell ultimately apologized for calling out Principal Matthew Eline for the decision and criticized the overall homecoming court selection system. He called for the selection to be based on who gets the most votes, regardless of gender. "I spoke with Principal Eline, and he explained that he did not change the system BUT that the system in place doesn't allow for a king and a king to win (with the idea that it is fair to girls and boys to have one of each)," reads the post.
