Santa Run 2018 Dates Announced For Burke

When will Santa visit your neighborhood? The Burke Volunteer Fire Department released the full Santa Run schedule.

BURKE, VA—Santa Claus is coming to town all throughout December in Burke. The Burke Volunteer Fire Department has announced times for the annual Santa Run, where Santa visits various neighborhoods atop a fire truck.

Santa and his helpers will make runs starting on Dec. 1 and concluding on Christmas Eve. The fire department has modified the routes from last year to improve efficiency. Weekday Santa Runs will happen between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., while weekend Santa Runs will happen between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Below is the full schedule. Residents not living on Santa's route are invited to visit the closest street.

  • Saturday, Dec. 1-Neighborhoods off Shiplett Boulevard, Glenbard Court and Covered Bridge Road; streets along Burke Lake Road between Burning Branch and Shiplett Boulevard to the west
  • Monday, Dec. 3-Lake Braddock and Greenfield Farm neighborhood; route bordered by Guinea Road, Burke Road, Burke Lake Road and Lake Braddock Secondary School.
  • Tuesday, Dec. 4-Neighborhoods bordered by Burke Lake Road and Rolling Road north of the train tracks.
  • Thursday, Dec. 6-Cardinal Estates and Heritage Square neighborhoods; streets and neighborhoods directly off Burke Road or near Burke Road between Burke Lake Road and the Rolling Road VRE, as well as Packard Way and Burke Manor; neighborhoods off Burke Road east of the fire station
  • Saturday, Dec. 8-Bradfield, Red Fox Forest and Stone Haven neighborhood; neighborhoods north of Braddock Road but south of Long Branch Stream Valley Park, east of Wakefield Chapel Rd and west of Red Fox Drive; Homes on Bradfield Drive and King David Boulevard north of Braddock Road but south of Colt Lane) and streets directly connected to the two
  • Sunday, Dec. 9-Whitehall Farms from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Dec. 11-Neighborhoods and streets off of Wards Grove Circle and Coffer Woods Road from Burke Lake Road through Canvasback Road; streets off of School House Woods Court
  • Thursday, Dec. 13-Neighborhoods and streets surrounded by Burke Centre Parkway to the east, Burke Lake Road to the south, Belleair Road to the west, and Winnepeg Drive to the north; streets on or connected to Wheaton Drive; Edge Water, Avon Forest and Killarney neighborhoods; neighborhoods directly north and south of Burke Lake Rdoadbetween Fairfax County Parkway and Kilkenny Lane, including Thode Lane and Deckhand Drive
  • Friday, Dec. 14-Kings Park West; neighborhoods south/southeast and directly east of Laurel Ridge Elementary School off or near Gainesborough Drive up to Wycliffe Lane
  • Saturday, Dec. 15-Orange Hunt from 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and a stop in Fairfax Station
  • Tuesday, Dec. 18-Glen Cove the Village Park; neighborhoods and streets north of Guinea Road, off of or near Zion Drive and Falmead Road but south of the sharp turn at the top of the hill on Zion Road; Lakepointe; neighborhoods and streets between Pommeroy Drive, Commonwealth Boulevard and Guinea Road including Chatsworth and Lakepointe Drive south of Guinea Road; including neighborhoods and streets off of Pierpont Drive and Lakepointe Drive
  • Thursday, Dec. 20-Surrey Square, Maywood Terr, Briarwood, Vertain Park and Twinbrook; neighborhoods and streets on or off of Twinbrook Road north of Braddock Road on or off Pickett Road south of Old Forge Park plus Braddock Green Court; neighborhoods of Queens Gate and Kings Grove; areas south of Braddock Road north of Guinea Road and east of Twinbrook Road
  • Friday, Dec. 21-Edge Water and Spring Lake Farms; neighborhoods and streets off of Lake Meadow excluding Burke Woods; neighborhoods and streets off of Spring Lake Drive and Fallingbrook Drive between Burke Lake Road and Westwood Manor Court, and Summers Day Court; Wilmington Drive south of Burke Lake Road and Walthorne Court
  • Saturday, Dec. 22-Middleridge from 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.; Pepper Tree, Orange Hill West, Cherry Run, Burke Lake Meadow and Wooded Glen; neighborhoods just north and south of Ironmaster Drive to Lee Chapel Road; neighborhoods just east of Lee Chapel Road from Old Keene Mill Road through Onion Patch Drive
  • Monday, Dec. 24, Christmas Eve-Annual Christmas Eve stop at Lincolnwood neighborhood

The fire department will also host Pancakes with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 8 from 8 a.m.-11 a.m. Tickets are available at the door: $5 for kids, $10 for adults or $30 for a family pass.
