Springfield Fire Goes To 2 Alarms: Fire Department
No one has been injured at this time, the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department says.

SPRINGFIELD, VA—A fire at a Springfield home went to two alarms Thursday afternoon, the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department says. No injuries have been reported.
Units were called to the 9000 block of Sweet Birch Court for smoke showing from a two-story middle townhouse, according to a fire department tweet from 1:44 p.m. Firefighters were able to put the fire out after requesting a second alarm.
Fire investigators determined the blaze started in the attic fan thermostat. Damages are estimated to be $60,000. Three residents are displaced and are receiving Red Cross assistance.
