Suspect Charged with Murder in Stabbing Death of Teen: Police

A 19-year old from Springfield was stabbed and died Wednesday, police said.

SPRINGFIELD, VA -- Fairfax County Police say Thursday morning they have a suspect in custody in connection with the stabbing death of a teen Wednesday afternoon in Springfield.

Dilshad Dosky, 20, of Tyrolean Way in Springfield, was charged with murder in connection with the stabbing death of Shaki E. Phillip, 19, according to Fairfax County Police.

Detectives from the Homicide and Fugitive Squads, along with numerous additional department assets, worked diligently through the evening hours on Wednesday to identify and apprehend the suspect at his home, police said. The office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine official cause and manner of death.

Although an arrest has been made, the investigation remains ongoing. Police responded Wednesday shortly after 2 p.m. for the report of a stabbing in the 7400 block of Loughboro Lane. Officers located an unresponsive, 19-year-old male, with an apparent stab wound to the upper body. They initiated CPR until rescue arrived a short time later. The victim was ground transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The victim, Shaki Ezekiel Phillip, was pronounced dead a short time later.

Two male suspects were seen leaving the scene, police said Wednesday.
