Tim Kaine Says He Won't Run For President in 2020: Report
Hillary Clinton's running mate told the Richmond Times-Dispatch he prefers to remain in the Senate representing Virginia.

WASHINGTON — Former vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine said Thursday he's not interested in running for president in 2020 and is perfectly happy to continue his job as a U.S. Senator (D-Va.).
In his first sit-down interview since he and presidential running mate Hillary Clinton lost the electoral vote to Donald Trump Nov. 8, Kaine — who's up for re-election in 2018 — told the Richmond Times-Dispatch in his Senate office he wants to serve in the Senate "for a long period of time," and that he believes his true calling now is right where he is.
"I was really honored to be asked by Hillary, and it was a history-making race to be the first woman nominated," he told the T-D. "And for her to do well in Virginia and win the popular vote, that is all to her credit. And I was really proud to be part of it.
