• Cape Charles to Take Ownership of EV Charging Stations from ANEC (capecharlesmirror.com) — Cape Charles Town Council has agreed to take over two public EV charging stations in the Mason Avenue parking lot from A&N Electric Cooperative for $1. The town will now control how the chargers are operated and maintained, keeping existing infrastructure available for local and visiting electric vehicle drivers.
   

• Cape Charles Raises Fire Department Surcharge on Building Permits to 25% (capecharlesmirror.com) — Cape Charles property owners, contractors, and developers will now pay a 25% fire department surcharge on all town building permits, up from 10%, after Town Council's recent vote. Most of the added revenue will support the Cape Charles Volunteer Fire Company, with a portion aiding nearby departments that provide mutual aid during local emergencies.
   

• Two Abandoned Boats at Cape Charles Yacht Center Face Possible Transfer of Ownership (capecharlesmirror.com) — Two long-abandoned boats at the Cape Charles Yacht Center could soon be retitled if their owners don't come forward within 30 days of the legal notices. Anyone with information or a claim is urged to contact the marina, as Virginia law allows transfer of ownership after the deadline passes.
