2. Ex-MML Rep Convicted On Wire Fraud, Bankruptcy Fraud Charges In $2.5 Million Scheme (fa-mag.com) — A Chantilly resident, former MML Investment Services broker Jihoon Park, has been convicted in federal court of wire fraud and bankruptcy fraud tied to a $2.5 million scheme involving investors from the Korean-American community. Prosecutors say he diverted client funds through personal and crypto accounts, including toward a $1.235 million Chantilly home, and then hid assets during bankruptcy; sentencing is set for December.
   

3. FCPS Student Killed In Fairfax City Crash As Reid Issues Safety Plea (patch.com) — Fairfax County officials are restoring crossing guards and police officers at several high school locations, including Chantilly High, after a tragic crash killed a 13-year-old FCPS student in Fairfax City and two other students were struck the same day. Families are being urged to slow down, stay alert, and take extra care around school routes, crosswalks, and bus stops to protect students.
   

4. Steven F. Udvar-Hazy to Receive NBAA's Top Aviation Honor at 2026 Las Vegas Convention (travelprnews.com) — Residents may be interested to know that Steven F. Udvar-Hazy, whose philanthropy created the Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, will receive the National Business Aviation Association's top honor this October. The recognition highlights his role in reshaping aircraft leasing and supporting public access to aviation history, including the museum facility many local families regularly visit near Dulles.
