CHANTILLY, VA — Anyone in need can get free pizza slices at Paisano's locations across the D.C. region as the company expands a program initially created to feed school-aged children, the company said.
The Community Slice Program began this summer to help children facing hunger when school meal programs paused for summer break. According to Paisano's, the program now includes adults and other community members in need.
The chain's charitable arm, Paisano's With a Purpose, operates the expansion with support from Cecil Pruitt and the Pruitt Foundation.
"If someone in our community is hungry, we want to be there for them," Paisano's CEO Fouad Qreitem said in a statement.
Customers can help fund the program by donating a slice at checkout or contributing online. The Pruitt Foundation matches each donated slice with another, according to the company.
Paisano's is also seeking businesses, foundations and other community sponsors to help sustain the program.
The company said its broader charitable initiative, Paisano's With a Purpose, has provided more than 50,000 meals and more than $125,000 in grocery gift cards since launching in summer 2025. Its efforts have included providing meals to military families and bringing its food truck to more than 50 communities and neighborhoods.
