Local IT leaders say the 14āmonth project, delayed for years by turnover and postā2017 turmoil, is already improving usability and opening the door to new AI tools for services like permit processing.

Three Albemarle County principals 'out of the building for an extended period of time' (cvillerightnow.com) ā Families at Monticello High, Baker-Butler Elementary, and Woodbrook Elementary are being told their principals will be away from school for an extended period, with assistant or substitute leaders stepping in. Albemarle County Public Schools has not explained the absences but says they are unrelated to recent arrests of former staff, an issue closely watched by Charlottesville-area parents.

No Ticket, Plenty Of Grass: Groundhog's UVA Game-Day Debut Ends In Orange Bucket (dailyvoice.com) ā UVA fans at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville got an unusual pregame visitor when police "apprehended" a groundhog trying to slip in without a ticket before the Cavaliers' win over Delaware. Officers jokingly listed charges like trespassing and grass possession before safely releasing the animal, which they quipped predicted several more weeks of football season.
