• Joanne Hughson Robertson (therecorderonline.com) — Clifton Forge is mourning the passing of 88-year-old lifelong resident Joanne Hughson Robertson, who died Tuesday at The Woodlands Health and Rehabilitation Center in town. A devoted homemaker, former Fitzgerald's secretary, and longtime Clifton Forge Baptist Church member and Sunday school teacher, she leaves behind her husband Jimmy, three children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with a memorial service to be announced later.
