• Farm Fest 2026 Brings Family Fun and Farm Life to Covington (virginianreview.com) — Farm Fest 2026 is coming to Covington's Jackson River Sports Complex this Saturday, offering a full afternoon of farm animals, kids' games, local crafts, and a tractor parade. Organized by Alleghany FFA and Covington Parks and Recreation, the free event runs 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and includes pet adoptions, a BB gun shoot, and traditional farm-life demonstrations.
   

• Columbia Gas plans more work in Covington (cardinalnews.org) — Drivers in Covington should prepare for months of Columbia Gas infrastructure work that will affect traffic on numerous east-side streets and several south avenues. Crews will work daytime hours, possibly weekends, through March, with temporary surface patches followed by permanent restoration, while a separate Main Street upgrade now stretches into November or early December.
