• Botetourt County Fire & EMS to carry life-saving whole blood to emergency scenes (wdbj7.com) — Daleville-area residents could see faster, more advanced care during serious emergencies as Botetourt County Fire & EMS begins carrying whole blood for on-scene transfusions, even when they're relatively close to the hospital. The new program, three years in the making, lets paramedics bring rare, hospital-level treatment to crash sites, remote trails, and other hard-to-reach locations where every minute of blood loss matters.
