• 1-year-old Injured in Danville Shooting (wakg.com) — A 1-year-old girl was wounded during a targeted shooting early Monday at the Purdum Woods apartments in Danville and is now in stable condition after being airlifted for treatment. Danville Police say multiple shooters exchanged gunfire, striking two apartments, and are urging anyone with information or nearby surveillance footage to contact them or Crime Stoppers immediately.
• Danville Elks Lodge revitalizes as civic club memberships decline (wdbj7.com) — Trustees at the historic Danville Elks Lodge on Main Street are cleaning and reimagining the 1912 building to attract new members and revive activity. Alongside the Danville Kiwanis Club, they're grappling with declining civic club membership as residents increasingly connect and give back through online and nontraditional avenues instead of hands-on volunteering.
