Alexandria Crime Report: Aug. 30 to Sept. 8

Sept. 8 — An assault was reported in the 3700 block of Edison Street.

Sept. 8 — Police responded to a disorder violation in the 3900 block of Mt. Vernon Avenue.

Sept. 7 — A property crime was reported in the 3800 block of Executive Avenue.

Sept. 6 — A suspect was arrested for possession of an open container of alcohol in the 3800 block of Executive Avenue.

Sept. 6 — A suspect was arrested for trespassing in the 3800 block of Executive Avenue.

Sept. 6 — A property crime was reported at the corner of W. Reed and Wilson avenues.

Sept. 6 — An assault occurred between two or more people who had a prior relationship or were known to each other was reported in the 3900 block of Executive Avenue.

Sept. 5 — A victim reported an unknown suspect or suspects entered her unlocked vehicle parked in her driveway in the 100 block of E. Oxford Avenue and ransacked it while stealing her GPS unit and handicap placard.

Sept. 4 — A victim reported that an unknown suspect or suspects attempted to enter his vehicle on W. Oak Street by damaging both front locks.

Sept. 3 — A suspect was arrested in the 200 block of W. Glebe Road for possession of an open container of alcohol.

Sept. 3 — A victim in the 3100 block of Old Dominion Boulevard reported that an unknown suspect filed a tax return in his name.

Sept. 2 — A victim reported being hit in the back by a skateboard as he rode his bicycle past a group of juveniles in the 100 block of W. Glebe Road. As he was hit, he fell and a member of the group stole his bike.

Sept. 2 — A victim reported being approached by an unknown subject as she was walking past with her child in a stroller in the 3600 block of Edison Street and robbed her of her gold necklace.  

Sept. 2 — A suspect was arrested and charged with the illegal possession of alcohol in the 3800 block of Executive Avenue.

Sept. 2 — A suspect was arrested for being drunk in public in the 3800 block of Jefferson Davis Highway.

Sept. 2 — An assault and a property crime were reported at 9:04 p.m. in the 3400 block of Valley Drive.

Sept. 1 — A victim reported that an unknown suspect or suspects entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle parked along E. Linden Street and stole coins.

Sept. 1 — A suspect was arrested for urinating in public in the 400 block of E. Braddock Road.

Aug. 31 — A suspected was arrested for being drunk and public and possession of an open container of alcohol in the 600 block of Four Mile Road.

Aug. 31 — A suspect was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana in the 3900 block of Old Dominion Boulevard.

Aug. 30 — A verbal assault between two people who were known to each other occurred at the home of one of the participant’s grandparents. The couple was asked to leave and locked out of the house until one of the grandparents let them back in. No robbery or injuries were reported in the incident, which happened at 10:22 p.m. in the 300 block of Hume Street.
