Crime Report: Floor Waxer Stolen

May 3 — An assault occurred between several preteens in an attempt to steal a bicycle from its owner at a playground in the 400 block of Mt. Vernon Avenue at 6:17 p.m. The case is open.

May 3 — A victim reported that two unknown subjects confronted him while he was talking on his cell phone, stole the phone from him and ran from the scene. The incident occurred at Four Mile Road and Mt. Vernon Avenue at 3:45 p.m. The case is pending.

May 2 — A case of embezzlement was reported in the 3100 block of Jefferson Davis Highway at 6:29 p.m. The case is open.

May 2 — An arrest was made in an assault between two people who had worked in the same organization and were known to each other. The incident occurred in the 3800 block of Mt. Vernon Ave. at 10:35 a.m.

April 30 — A victim reported that an unknown suspect or suspects stole his unlocked vehicle with the keys in it from a garage in the 200 block of Luna Park Drive at 6:52 p.m. The case is pending.

April 30 — An unknown suspect or suspects stole a victim's bicycle as it was left unattended and unlocked in front of a store in the 2300 block of Mt. Vernon Ave. at 1:29 p.m. The case is pending.

April 30 — A store manager reported that an unknown suspect or suspects stole a floor finisher-waxer from his store in the 3800 block of Jefferson Davis Highway at 11:37 a.m. The case is open.

April 29 — An unknown suspect stole the victim's purse from her shopping cart while at a store in the 3100 block of Jefferson Davis Highway at 5:13 p.m. The case is open.

April 29 — An arrest was made in an assault between two or more people who had a prior relationship or were known to each other. The incident occurred in the 3700 block of Edison Street at 2:40 p.m.
