Crime Report: Sexual Assault on Commonwealth Avenue

June 17 — A theft was reported in the 600 block of Four Mile Road at 5:50 p.m. The case is open.

June 17 — Theft of property from a vehicle was reported in the 400 block of High Street at 3:15 p.m. The case is pending.

June 17 — An arrest was made for theft in the 3600 block of Edison Street at 2:57 a.m. 

June 16 — An assault was reported in the 700 block of W. Braddock Road at 10:20 a.m. The case is open.

June 16 — A vehicle was reported stolen in the 3800 block of Russell Road at 8:26 a.m. The case is pending.

June 15 — A vehicle was reported stolen in the 400 block of Calvert Avenue at 10:59 a.m. The case is pending.

June 14 — A theft was reported in the 600 block of Notabene Drive at 4:23 p.m. The case is pending. 

June 14 — A breaking-and-entering incident was reported in the 100 block of Randolph Avenue at 4:06 p.m. The case is pending.

June 13 — A shoplifting offense was reported in the 2900 block of Jefferson Davis Highway at 7:04 p.m. The case is pending.

June 13 — A victim reported that his moped, which was parked behind a restaurant in the 1500 block of Mt. Vernon Avenue, was stolen by an unknown suspect or suspects. The incident occurred at 2:27 p.m. The case is pending.

June 13 — A victim reported that an unknown suspect or suspects stole his unsecured bicycle from his backyard in the 300 block of E. Oxford Avenue at 10:13 a.m. The case is pending.

June 13 — An assault was reported in the 1100 block of Martha Custis Drive at 9:32 a.m. The case is pending.

June 12 — An arrest was made for a shoplifting offense that occurred in the 3100 block of Jefferson Davis Highway at 9:52 p.m. 

June 12 — Theft of property from a vehicle was reported on W. Glebe Road at 9:29 p.m. The case is pending.

June 12 — A forcible sexual offense was reported in the 3300 block of Commonwealth Avenue at 3:05 p.m. To protect the victim's privacy, the narrative for this case is not available at this time. The case is pending.

June 12 — A victim reported that her watch was stolen from her room while she was at physical therapy at a nursing home in the 900 block of Virginia Avenue at 12:48 p.m. The case is open.

June 12 — A robbery was reported on W. Glebe Road at 2:10 a.m. The case is open.

June 11 — A victim reported that his bicycle was stolen by an unknown suspect from in front of a store in the 3400 block of Mt. Vernon Avenue at 8:42 p.m. The case is pending.

June 11 — A shoplifting offense was reported in the 400 block of E. Monroe Avenue at 8:25 p.m. The cae is pending.

June 11 — An unsecured motor scooter was stolen from a parking lot in the 100 block of E. Mason Avenue at 5:48 p.m. The case is pending.

June 11 — An unknown suspect or suspects broke into a victim's company van and stole copper tubing, plumbing tools and a leak detector. The incident occurred in the 3100 block of Russell Road at 5:07 p.m. The case is pending. 

June 11 — Two vehicles that were parked in the 500 block of Four Mile Road were reported to have been broken into at 5:32 p.m. An unknown suspect or suspects smashed the driver's side door window on each vehicle. Nothing was removed from one vehicle, but the spare tire and right front tire on the other vehicle were stolen. The case is pending.

June 11 — An unknown suspect or suspects stole a license plate and holder from a victim's vehicle as it was parked in the 3800 block of Florence Drive at 11 a.m. The case is pending.
