Jan. 15 — An arrest was made for theft in the 3100 block of Jefferson Davis Highway at 12:32 p.m.

Jan. 13 — An assault was reported in the 800 block of W. Glebe Road at 3:02 p.m. The case is pending.

Jan. 11 — A victim reported that a known subject was paid several times for performing the same job because the victim was told the bank would not accept his checks, but they had actually been cashed. The incident occurred in the 2700 Mosby Street at 2:56 p.m. The case is open.

Jan. 11 — A shoplifting offense was reported in the 400 block of E. Monroe Avenue at 2:02 p.m. The case is open.

Jan. 9 — An arrest was made for an assault that occurred between two or more people who had a prior relationship or were known to each other. The incident occurred in the 600 block of Notabene Drive at 6:23 p.m.

Jan. 9 — A victim reported that an unknown suspect or suspects stole a planter from her front yard in the 3500 block of Wilson Avenue at 10:51 p.m. The case is pending.

Jan. 8 — The victim was approached by a known subject who took the keys to her husband's vehicle from her and broke the rearview mirror on the vehicle before driving away on his moped. The incident occurred in the 4100 block of Mt. Vernon Avenue at 11:44 p.m. The case is pending.

Jan. 8 — An unknown suspect or suspects entered a victim's unlocked vehicle parked in the garage in the 3000 block of Mt. Vernon Avenue and stole a bag containing two children-size jackets and an iPod. The incident occurred at 12:48 p.m The case is pending.

Jan. 7 — An arrest was made for being drunk in public in the 200 block of Wesmond Drive The incident occurred in at 4:29 p.m.
