Crime Report: Larcenies from Vehicles Continue

A recent look at crime in Del Ray

The following information was provided to www.crimereports.com by the Alexandria Police Department. Additional details about the most recent crimes were not available at publication time.

May 20 — A burglary was reported in the 200 block of Luna Park Drive at 10:30 a.m.

May 20 — A theft was reported in the 100 block of Herbert Street at 9:32 a.m.

May 20 — An assault was reported in the 3900 block of Bruce Street at 8: 23 a.m.

May 19 — Keys to a vehicle were stolen from a victim who was asked for money for food by an unknown suspect in the 4100 block of Mt. Vernon Avenue at 11:16 p.m. After the victim provided cash, the suspect grabbed the vehicle keys and demanded more money. When the victim refused, the suspect fled with the keys.

May 19 — Coins were stolen from the vehicle console of an unlocked car in the driveway of a residence in the 1500 block of Ruffner Road at 9:41 a.m.

May 18 — A laptop was stolen by unknown suspects from the trunk of a locked vehicle in the 3500 block of Jefferson Davis Highway at 7:21 p.m.

May 18 — Unknown suspects ransacked the interior of a vehicle while stealing an iPod and coins in the 300 block of N. View Terrace at 5:01 p.m.

May 18 — Personal property was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 400 block of Timber Branch Parkway at 7:56 a.m.
