Crime Report: Multiple Thefts on East Braddock

A look at recent crime in Del Ray

The following information was provided to www.crimereports.com by the Alexandria Police Department. Additional details about the most recent crimes were not available at publication time.

May 24 — A theft was reported in the 3800 block of Mt. Vernon Avenue at 7:03 p.m.

May 24 — A theft was reported in the 500 block of E. Braddock Road.

May 23 — A vehicle was stolen in the 300 block of E. Braddock Road at 7:40 a.m.

May 22 — An unattended bicycle was stolen from in front of a shop in the 400 block of E. Braddock Road at 1:18 p.m. while the victim was shopping.

May 22 — An assault occurred on the 3900 block of Bruce Street at 1:53 a.m. between two or more people who were known to each other or had a prior relationship.

May 21 — A purse that was inadvertently left at a restaurant was taken by a known suspect who eventually admitted to taking it and was arrested for petty larceny. The incident occurred in the 2300 block of Mt. Vernon Avenue at 9:25 p.m.

May 22 — A vehicle was stolen in the 2900 block of Landover Street at 11:07 a.m. The vehicle was later found by the Falls Church police.

May 21 — An assault occurred in the 3400 block of Jefferson Davis Highway at 5:11 a.m. between two or more people who were known to each other or had a prior relationship.

May 21 — An assault occurred in the 3800 block of Mt. Vernon Avenue at 7:00 p.m. when an unknown subject tried to enter a store while the owner tried to prevent the subject from doing so. After a struggle with police, the subject was arrested for assault of police.
